Wove’s BTS Bottle Cage can be used anywhere that you run your water bottle cage upside down.

Description

Normal bottle cage retention tabs are above the bottle when mounted upside down, which reduces the cage’s grip on the bottle. Our retention tab is below the bottle when the bottle cage is mounted upside down.
Our ovalized flexible cage holds the narrow on-course bottles and expands to hold a normal diameter bottle.
⁠Most BTS cages reduce the inner diameter of their cage to make the grip on the bottle tighter - at Wove, we chose to make a smarter cage design that was as secure as those too-tight cages, but easy to place a bottle in and out of the cage.
Our BTS Bottle Cage has no splits in the cage - other brands’ splits in their cage allow the cage to open up when going over bumps, which loosens the grip on the bottle..
The Wove BTS cage weighs 41g (∓2g) - lighter and half the price as the competition. All around smarter.

Installing Double BTS Bottle Brackets

Hardware:

Our double BTS Bottle bracket ships with all the needed hardware to install: The bracket, 4 screws, and 6 washers.

Installation:

1. To start the installation, place the bracket on the top side of the saddle, with the Wove logo facing upwards on the tail of the saddle.

2. Place the bottle cage you wish to use below the tail of the V8 TT+Tri saddle

3. Use 2 of the provided M4 screws and washers to fasten the bottle cage, with the screws threading into the BTS bracket from the underside of the saddle. Tighten to 4Nm
The saddle’s tail will be sandwiched between the bracket on top, and bottle cage below.

4. Use the other 2 provided M4 screws and washers to attach the upper bottle cage, with the screws threading into the bracket’s raised threaded holes. Tighten to 4Nm

5. Depending on the thickness of the bottle cage used, it may be necessary to add washers to protruding screws that may make contact with the carbon of the saddle or the upper cage.

Check the bolt tightness after each of the first several rides to make sure vibration, plastic washers compressing, and threads bedding in do not cause a loose BTS bracket!

Installing BTS Cages and Retention Loops

Hardware Placement:

For beind-the-saddle bottle cage setups, mount the provided T-plate so that the bottle cage is sandwiched between the T-plate and the shell, as shown in the image to the left. Max torque for the water bottle cage bolts is 3 Nm.

To use the included Bottle Retention Loop, mount the plate of the loop to the rearmost bolt, on top of the rear of the saddle shell.

The retention loops are designed to prevent bottles over 24oz and non-standard bottles, like those passed out at Ironman races, from being ejected during the course of a ride.

Two-Cage Setups:

It is possible to mount two cages, with one cage on top for a super clean & aero set up using out Double BTS Bottle bracket, which provides offset to the upper bottle and integrates two of our retention loops!

Adjust Retention Loop Length

Our recommended method of shortening a retention loop is to pull some of the cord back through the mounting plate, as this allows the cord to be readjusted for different length bottles.
