Description

I have had the privilege to work with some really great coaches, including specialist swim and run coaches, triathlon coaches and people who have helped me with strength and conditioning.

Most of us need coaches to help us achieve our objectives.

I really like to see people enjoy what they are doing and getting better at what they enjoy.

I can help you get there.

Why Choose Sported Coaching Triathlon

Coaching is a contract between two people; the coach and the person being coached. We will agree on what the objectives are and then what you will do, and what I will do, with the specific aim of achieving the agreed and desirable objectives in the timeframe.

We will regularly review to ensure that your goals are still relevant and we will monitor progress towards the stated objectives. We will agree what milestones there are along the journey.

My commitment to you will be:

1) Unlimited telephone access: if you call me and I cannot answer or I miss your call I will get back to you within the same day.
2) Unlimited email access with a maximum 24 hour turnaround time.
3) A monthly 1:1 review of progress or more regularly if this is required.
4) I will review your training sessions within 24 hours of you uploading it into Training Peaks. The maximum number of athletes I take on at anyone time is 5
5 I will train with you on a regular basis and observe at  additional times (bike, run or swim depending on what we agree).
6) I will give you a weekly plan and we will modify, if necessary, based on the interaction in 1-5 above.

What you will do:

1) Follow the plan as best you can.
2) Tell me if you are struggling.
3) Be honest and give me feedback on every session in Training peaks.
4) Upload the data into Training Peaks on a regular basis so I can monitor your progress.
5) Work hard.

Review...''Working with a coach is a very close and personal relationship and one that is based on absolute trust. Before I started working with David I respected his knowledge, his experience and his commitment to the sport of triathlon and I continue to do so.

David is a very hand-on coach who likes to train alongside his athletes to fully understand their rhythms. He is tough but fair and has pushed me to levels I never expected to reach. He knows exactly how I am feeling - when to push me more and when I need a break. He can predict my race performance almost to the minute, based on my training leading into a race, setting me tough but achievable targets to aim for.

I am immensely grateful for how David has shaped me as an athlete, for his understanding of me as a time-pressed individual and for his dedicated support. Without him as my coach I would never have achieved what I have.''
