YOUSEF AL MULLA MEMORIAL TRIATHLON: RACE OVERVIEW

This was an excellent event put on by Super Sports Events. For those who did triathlon over 10 years ago in the UAE this was back where it all started at Ghantoot.

The swim was well marked in the quiet bay, and although the water was still warm, wet suits were allowed. There was a long transition from the beach to the bike racks which was probably the only down-side. Bike racking was easy and as usual with Super Sports Events the staff was super friendly and helpful, signage for parking and general direction was clear. There were two mobile bike vans available for any last minute requirements.

The bike course was 3 loops of 13km for the Olympic on closed wide roads which felt super safe. The run was a flat double out and back loop with a couple of water stations. The award ceremony was well organized and efficiently run. Overall great race by Super Sports Events and would definitely do again.
