SWIM START – DIVE OR JUMP?
SWIM START – DIVE OR JUMP?
We have been asked this question often…
“How to secure goggles at the dive start?”
We asked Blueseventy Ambassador Ryan Christian and Brett Sutton, Head Coach at Trisutto for tips:
1. It’s the angle of entry, drop your chin to your chest as you enter the water.
2. Tighten your googles.
3. Wear a second swim cap on top of goggles straps can help, but might make your head hot.
4. Arms close together, shoulders to ears.
5. Consider not diving but jumping feet first if you are not confident. Hold one hand on head and cap and the other on nose and goggles. Jump in, scissor kick, get your bearings and off you go.
Have a great swim!
