World Triathlon is delighted to announce that the 2026 World Triathlon Championship Series (WTCS) Abu Dhabi will now take place on 13-14 November on Hudayriyat Island, staged alongside the 2026 World Triathlon Multisport Championships Abu Dhabi.

The 2026 World Triathlon Multisport Championships will go ahead as planned, and registrations remain open. It promises to be a magnificent celebration of multisport, with thousands of athletes from around the world competing across six disciplines, now joined by the top elite stars of triathlon racing at WTCS Abu Dhabi at the same venue.

The Multisport Championships will crown the Elite, U23, Junior, Para and Age-group world champions in duathlon, cross triathlon, cross duathlon, aquathlon and long distance triathlon, as well as aquabike.

A Rescheduled WTCS Abu Dhabi

The WTCS Abu Dhabi, rescheduled from March, will offer Olympic qualification and World Triathlon Ranking points and the regular prize money of WTCS and Mixed Relay Series events. 'I want to thank our Abu Dhabi stakeholders, particularly Abu Dhabi Sports Council, for their commitment and support in helping bring the World Triathlon Championship Series back to Abu Dhabi and alongside one of our biggest events of the year,' said World Triathlon President Antonio F. Arimany.
