SIZE CHART

HOW LONG SHOULD IT TAKE TO GET INTO MY NERO?

It should take around 10 minutes to get into your Nero kneeskins the first time you put it on. With practice you can cut the time down, but it should never be easy to put on.

Taking your time, and working with care are essential to getting the suit on correctly and comfortably.

HOW DO I PUT ON MY NERO KNEESKIN?

Getting into your Nero Kneeskin is no easy feat. A properly fitting Nero will be very tight and take time to get into. Make sure to go slow, working the suit up in small sections.

Pull on seams or double layered panels whenever possible to limit damage to the performance fabric. Most importantly, watch your fingernails! Keep nails trimmed and use the pads of your fingers to grip and pull material to avoid any tears.

Make sure you are fully dry before starting to put on your tech suit.

  1. Flip up the leg grippers and insert your first leg into the suit. Work it up above the knee before carefully inserting your second leg. Slowly work the suit up your legs.
  2. Slowly pull up on the back and side seams to work up your thighs and over your hips. Take your time, this is likely the longest part of getting the suit on.
  3. Ensure the fit is correct on the hips and crotch before continuing on. The liner should ride high on your hips and across your butt (rather than under it). This promotes a better body position, aiding in a faster swim.
  4. Continue to work the suit up your body as far as it will go.
  5. Slide your arms into the suit next, one at a time. It is recommended to slide your arms in elbow first, which makes it easier to get on and stretches the fabric less.
  6. Once both arms are in, check that the suit is sitting properly around your chest and torso, carefully adjusting the fit as needed.
  7. Lastly flip the leg grippers back over and pull any excess fabric down the leg.
  8. Now you're ready to race!

HOW LONG SHOULD MY NERO LAST?

There’s no exact answer to how long a suit should last, because it depends on how frequently you wear it and how well it’s looked after. From the moment you put it in the water, chlorine will start the aging process of the suit. Chlorine is extremely harsh on the highly technical fabric and seam bonding. With use, you'll see two things happen. First, the chlorine causes the glue on the bonded seams to breakdown, making them susceptible to tears. Second, you'll notice stretch degradation, which is a combination of the pool chemicals breaking down the compressive nature of the fabric, and time / use stretching out the suit. To limit breakdown of your suit and prolong it's life we recommend rinsing in fresh, cold water and drying as soon as possible after use. Please remember that once it's been immersed in chlorinated water, degradation will start. However, a well cared forNero should last you three to six months. In the event of any defect in the product we offer a 6-week warranty period as standard.

CARING FOR YOUR NERO

Caring for your Nero is simple and can help prolong the life of your suit.

As soon as possible after your race, rinse your Nero in cold, fresh water. Letting it soak a few minutes can help release more chlorine from the suit fibers.

Once rinsed, dry your suit laying flat, or hanging from the legs. (Avoid hanging from the straps as it encourages water and any chlorine to collect in the crotch and can weaken the bonding there).

Never, ever use the dryer to dry your suit!

NERO TECH SUIT RACE DAY TIPS

  • Put your suit on about half an hour before you race
  • Take your time, the fabrics are lightweight & delicate to make them FAST, so treat them with care.
  • Always have a spare suit, just in case! You may need a dry suit for finals!
  • Don’t wear your race suit for warm ups & swim downs.
  • Girls, if you swim down between races wear a training suit over your race suit, take the straps off your shoulders & roll the race suit down to the narrowest part of your waist. This is more comfortable & helps prolong the life of your suit.
  • Always rinse your suit in cold, fresh water and don't leave it bunched in your swim bag!
