For it's 10 edition, The Office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum will organize a special edition of Al Salam Championship named "Arqoub Al Sidayrah"! The event is named after the start location of the race: Arqoub Al Sidayrah, a site of immense historical
significance. This is the specific location in the desert between Abu Dhabi and
Dubai where the two wise leaders, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh
Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, met in 1968 to agree on the union that eventually
became the United Arab Emirates.

The race will start in Asamha (Abu Dhabi) and will finish in Seih Al Salam / Al Qudra (Dubai). The race will be 100km and will be open for both Men and Women in both the Amateur and Elite categories. Prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 finishers in each category. We look forward to seeing you on the start line!
