Shoes that gripped comfortably

As a beginner to trail racing and OCR , I was pleased with how these shoes allowed me to grip on rather than slide off during obstacle races and especially when goong downhill . They fit comfortably and did not fall apart as with other shoes I experienced . A massive Thankyou to Coach Simon Pepper for the tip.

I ordered a pair of the Maxx which came the next day. Fit wise - they didn't work for me, slipping at the heel and very tight at the fore foot (my feet are pretty wide). I took the shoes back for a refund and after trying on some different sizes, came away with a pair of XTRM's for a test drive. This is a great idea, worth 5 stars alone. In the end I've returned the XTRM's as well. If you think you have wide feet it would be worth asking to go and try a few sizes in both models then take a pair for a trial if possible.

Fantastic Shoes

These shoes are excellent. I have quite narrow feet but ordered a size bigger than normal and they fit really well. I broke them in by walking in them for a few days, doing 1 speed session on road. This morning I bashed out a half marathon on desert trail without a single blister or hot spot! Definitely rate these shoes. Also, special shoutout to the team at Sported.ae for the fast delivery! I ordered them at 11:30 am and they had been delivered to my home in Abu Dhabi by 4:30 pm!

Try before you buy

Just finished my first ever 15km trail run in these and found them very comfortable. Being completely new to trail, I saw an offer to try the shoes before I bought them which was really beneficial as I got a feel for them first. Felt well supported with the fit and very confident on the uneven terrain. Looking forward to our next outing together!

Most Suitable for UAE Terrain

This shoes are perfectly designed & crafted for hard terrain of UAE mountains. They are "Tuned to Terrain" without any issues. The overall Fit around Feet is amazing. Apart from all other scientific and technical data comparison with other brands, I would just say that we have tried and tested almost all brands on local trails and VJMAXx got the maximum acceptance in us. The price point is a bit higher but once you complete your cycle with other brands, you would gladly agree to spend on VJ. The local sales support is amazing and encouraging with their various promotions and discounts.

Does what it says on the tin

I've been using VJ Maxx on longer trail runs and Spartan races for several years now. They have seen me complete 2 Ultra spartans in the hardest conditions and also a 24 hour Spartan race during winter in the Swedish mountains. Best grip on the planet is their claim and the shoes definitely deliver where others around me were failing. Not to tempt fate but so far after 100's of km's using these shoes i've never suffered any blistering, the comfort is second to none and the rock plate and grip ensures the best ride over all brutal terrain.

Good on technical terrain

I’ve only used mine once, but felt the need to comment on how good they were on technical. They’re a snug fit to lock your feet into the shoe without the pinch (and I have wide feet). Having a decent plate is absolutely essential for long distances on technical, to deal with the constant changes of the ground and it held up really well in terms of grip and protection for your feet.

I noticed the cushioning difference

I used these yesterday for the second time. I normally wear the XTRM but I have found myself a new training shoe. Much more cushioning and a little more room in the toe box helps my wife feet. I’ve done around 25km in these so far and they feel great. Can’t wait to take them on a longer run!
