ULT-RA Haze Cap – Smoke Grey

Before you throw your hat into the machine and hope for the best, here is our recommendations on how to clean your ULT-RA hat:

Firstly, there are two ways to clean your hat; it can be cleaned either by hand or by machine. 

Machine Wash

Things you need:

• Detergent (non-bleach)

• Stain Remover

• Soft-bristled brush 

• Washing machine (of course)

Before:

• Before throwing in your hat and turning the machine on, it is advisable to pre-treat any stains that you may have on your hat.  Apply the stain remover and gently agitate the area with the soft-bristled brush.  Note: The longer the stain remover is left on your hat, the more effective it will be. 

• Next, you can put the hat in with your washing load or similar colours, or by itself.  We recommend having the load on a short and low temperature (20/30 degrees) cycle, around 15/20 minutes. 

• Once the cycle has finished, the hat can be placed wherever you feel necessary to allow your hat to dry naturally.  Note: To ensure there is no impact to the shape of the hat, place it where its shape can be retained (hat stand/support) or ball-up paper/towels etc. and place inside. 

Hand Wash

Things you need:

• Detergent (non-bleach) 

• Stain Remover

• Soft-Bristled Brush

• Sink or Bucket/Basin

Before:

• Pre-treat any stains that you may have on your hat.  Apply the stain remover and gently agitate the area with the soft-bristled brush.  Note: The longer the stain remover is left on your hat, the more effective it will be, advisable to leave the stain remover on the hat for up to 1 hour max.

• Fill your bucket/basin or sink with clean, warm water and add a small amount of detergent, don’t overuse as it will complicate the rinsing process.  Note: Please ensure you have enough space to fully submerge your hat in the water.

• Fully submerge your hat in the water, agitate it and let it sit for 30 minutes.  After the 30 minutes have passed, take a look at your hat, and check if it is clean, if so you can start to rinse.  Note: If you have stubborn stains, you can go through the stain remover process again and re-soak. 

• Remove and rinse your nylon hat with warm water.  You can then place the hat wherever you feel necessary to allow your hat to dry naturally.  Note: To ensure there is no impact to the shape of the hat, place it where its shape can be retained (hat stand/support) or ball-up paper/towels etc. and place inside. 

Conclusion

Our hats are 100% Nylon.  Nylon is a tough, durable and resilient material, which is easy to clean. 

Follow the above instructions for either hand or machine washing your hat, and it will be ready for your next adventure in a flash!
