SIZING EXPLAINED
All feet are very different, so fitting a foot into a fixed shape foot cavity of moulded flexible material is an inexact science. Whilst our fins do not correlate directly to shoe sizes as the construction of fins and shoes are very different, we do suggest a close-to shoe size as a secondary size guide.
1: Check Length – Stand on a piece of paper toe to wall. Measure to the end of heel (in the arch) as this is where the strap sits - put a dot here. Measure from end of paper to dot. (Should be the length of your foot +/- 3-5mm)
2: Measure the distance between front and back dots. This should be the length of your foot.
TIP: If you’re still not sure, then order 2 pairs, and return the pair that doesn’t fit.
FITTING YOUR FINS (once you receive them):
DMC fins are made of a silicone-based material which offers maximum comfort, and like most polymers, care is required when putting the fin on without overstretching the strap.
Step 1: Push the fin as far onto the foot as possible before pulling the strap
Step 2: Lift the strap over the heel
Step 3: Adjust for comfort
TEST YOUR FIN SIZE:
Sit on a chair, extend your legs, and flex your ankle/foot out. This is your swimming position. They are not a shoe so standing in them will not test the correct size.
CARE FOR YOUR FINS:
Our fins are made of a silicone-based material called SILFORM - which offer maximum comfort, and like most polymers, care is required not to expose them to any abrasive materials or sharp objects.

Great service and amazing fins
Fins are really powerful, allowing me to focus on other parts of the swim will getting a lot of push from the kick. Service was great, as I bought them to small and was easy to replace them. Would recommend a size bigger/larger than your usual shoe size.

DMC fins
I echo Nicky's experience with fit. I followed all the measurement advice but I still needed a size increase. I ordered my from the internet because I hadn't realized just how convenient the showroom was. If you are even close to being "local" then go down to the show room and try a pair - great service and its like Aladdin's cave! You'll love it!

A recommendation for the DMC fins
FIT: Initially I ordered an M size fin, the same size as my shoe size 9-9.5US women. In this instance my toes touched the end of the fin which was uncomfortable- in short they were too small. Exchanged them for size ML which made my feet happy and a much better fit. PERFORMANCE: they did everything you’d expect a fin to do. Activating the buttock muscles so you feel that burn whilst the ankles remain loose, moving fluidly and naturally you almost forget you’ve got fins on. Easy to put on and they are supple. I felt I was speeding along with these. SPORTED TEAM: easy exchange process with just a phone call. Grateful as always for the super customer service.
